DECLARING AND DEFENDING A SHORT STORY

Your Honour , Almighty GOD; ladies and gentlemen throughtout
the whole wide literary world; your undivided attentions, please,
as the Author declares and defends the Short Story,
specificly about the structure of the same ---

Your Honour, I wrote the Short Story and then learned about the following ---

The year, A.D. 1920, there was published (with over 13 volumes),
The Masterpiece Library Of Short Stories.
There is Short Story with the title, The Ladies Of Syracuse.
That begins with an introductory paragraph.
After that, there is nothing but dialogue.
Each character is named followed by what they are saying.

I have the highest respect for readers. They want the characters, their doings and sayings, from in the beginning.
That is what they get from the Short Story.
The following is an important quotable from The Writer,
"In a letter about story-writing, sent by Louisa M. Alcott to a young author in 1874,
and now published in the Ladies' Home Journal, she advises him to introduce
his characters at once, as that instantly interests readers, and says of her own
work: 'Instead of describing places or people, I plunged into the heart of my story
and open it with a conversation, letting the actors unfold the plot and themselves dramatically'."

The same periodical, just quoted, during the 1890's,
when describing the best of short story writing,
declared it "will seem as if it were a play."

There Is Nothing Experimental About A Properly Written Short Story.

"The very word 'rules' is hateful to the truly literary soul."

Your Honour, that pathetic book, The Chicago Manual Of Style;
that abominable title crucifies the word style!!!
Style has nothing to do with what that declares.
Style aint that cultic writing because grammar aint style.

COLORADOETTE has declared the best, evah, definition for STYLE, it will nevah get better;
she said the following,
"Voice [Style] is the expression of YOU on the page - your originality and the
c o u r a g e to express it."

Structure of a writing is determined upon the style that is you.

He was thrown out of the Garden of gardens.
He was told to work the fields.
He was a farmer.
Neighbours wondered what the heck he was doing.
Adam told them about farming.

That initial, word-of-mouth declarings has brought to the whole wide world,
